As a Breastfeeding Promotion Marketing Volunteer, I assisted in promoting the benefits of breastfeeding for both the baby and the mother, and in promoting the Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative. During my initial month working at WIC, I saw first-hand the implementation of the new food rules, in which WIC clientele received vouchers for a number of healthier foods such as 100% whole grain breads and cereals.
